Jewish Art aka Judaic art is only limited by the imagination and/or inspiration of the artist. Creativity, inspiration, joy and spirit are evident at a wonderful exhibit happening now, here in Florida at Via in Lakeside Village in Lantana (just north of Boynton Beach). The show features work by several artists and the theme is the Hebrew Zodiac: 12 Tribes, 12 Months, 12 Astrological Signs. My friend Helene Yentis is the Director of the Palm Beach Center for Jewish Arts and the hard working producer of this exhibit. She’s gathered together artists from across America and Israel and has created an amazing multi-media show in which the most repeated comments are: “The show is awesome both literally and figuratively! It is an amazing experience to be here.”
I’ll be teaching a collage making workshop on November 16 from 1:00-3:00 which is opened to the public. My contribution to the show is an original acrylic on canvas “How Goodly Are Your Tents, Oh Jacob…”.
