And, please e-mail me or Leon at: jackieolenick@gmail, if you want more information directly from either of us. We’d are happy to speak with you!
Heal Your Pain – Renew Your Spirit
Jackie and Leon Olenick happily team up in this course. Leon will teach you acquire skills to cope with grief, loss and pain, and Jackie will offer a hands-on mixed media “renew your spirit” art project. You will examine your day-to-day lives, your relationship to family, friends and the Holy One, find tools for self-spiritual care and learn to help others in distress. Jackie and Leon will blend Jewish text, storytelling, art, meditation and Kabalistic insights within a four-worlds mode to enhance your connection to the sacred, and you will explore and express your feelings as we create art together. Those “artistically challenged” and anyone facing illness/end of life challenges are welcome.
Leon Olenick is a Board Certified Chaplain working in a hospice setting. He provides spiritual and end of life care for patients, families and caregivers. He facilitates “bikkur cholim” (visiting the ill) training programs, bereavement groups and offers personal counseling.
Jackie Olenick is an award-winning Judaic artist and teacher whose work has been inspired by the Jewish Renewal movement for the past 25 years.
I took both of your classes at the Kallah in the past – so happy you’re teaming up this time – I’ll see you in your classroom in California. And, I’m telling my friends.
If you always wanted to make art, but felt intimidated, sign up for this class. Jackie makes it fun and accessible and Leon’s teaching and compassion is delicious. They’re a great couple and wonderful teachers and role models.
